Uniontown, PA – One Person Killed in Fatal Crash on US-40

Uniontown, PA (June 10, 2020) – Around 11:30 a.m. yesterday morning, June 9, one person was killed following a fatal crash on a highway in Uniontown.

The accident took place when two vehicles collided on US-40 near Morgantown Road. A vehicle allegedly crossed into the opposite westbound lanes of traffic after entering the center median. It then collided forcefully with another vehicle.

State Police are not yet sure what caused the driver to enter into the other lanes of traffic. Numerous emergency responders were working at the scene of the accident for three hours.

One person was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, though their identity is not yet known. Police did not say if there were injuries.

The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
