Union Twp, PA – Bette Merritt Killed in Fatal Crash at Union Leboeuf RdLaw Pa
Union Township, PA (July 5, 2020) – Around 11 p.m. last night, a woman lost her life in a fatal crash that took place at a Union Township intersection.
According to police, 19-year-old Andrew Dieffenbach was driving a Toyota Highlander and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Union Leboeuf Road and US-6.
The vehicle slammed into the side of a Mazda 3 driven by 53-year-old Bette Merritt. Merritt was partially ejected from her vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The intersection was blocked in the area of the collision for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
