Thomas M. Bupp and 3 Others Involved in Deadly Ephrata 3-Vehicle Collision
Ephrata, Pennsylvania (September 9, 2017) – A 54-year-old man was killed, and three others were injured in a deadly 3-vehicle collision that occurred Thursday morning in Ephrata, a local news source reported.
Police have identified the man killed as Thomas M. Bupp, 54, of Lebanon.
The accident happened on Thursday morning, September 7 at the intersection of West Main Street and Lancaster Avenue.
Bupp was a passenger in a sedan driven by 31-year-old Ana Stanke of Ephrata. The sedan was traveling along West Main Street when it collided with an SUV operated by Alissa K. Nolt, 21, of Denver. The impact sent the sedan into the opposing lanes where it crashed into an eastbound tractor-trailer operated by David A. Kreider, 45, of Easton.
Bupp was trapped inside the vehicle for about half an hour. He was later freed and taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries. Stanke sustained life-threatening injuries and was admitted at Lancaster General Hospital in critical condition.
Nolt was treated at the scene and released while Kreider was transported to Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital where he was treated and released.
West Main Street was closed for approximately five hours following the accident.
There are no charges or citations that have been done so far.
An investigation into the incident continues.
