Teenager on a Bicycle Hospitalized in Car Crash at East 6th and Ash

Erie, PA (September 4, 2017) – A teenager was sent to the hospital after the bicycle he was on got struck by a car Sunday afternoon.

According to police officers, the incident took place at the intersection of East 6th and Ash Streets in Erie around 5:30 p.m. September 3.

The driver of the car that struck the 17-year-old bicyclist reportedly left the scene. Police, however, reported that they received a phone call from the driver asking to meet at Pennsylvania and East Lake Road.

No further information has been given at this time.

The teenager was taken to UPMC Hamot. The extent of the injuries sustained by the victim was not known at the time of the report.
