Sunbury, PA – Sandra Moyer Killed in Fatal Crash on Mile Post Rd

Sunbury, PA (December 3, 2020) – Around 5:53 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, December 1, a woman was killed in a fatal crash in Sunbury.

Stonington Police confirmed that the accident happened on Mile Post Road just west of Epler Road. According to authorities, 72-year-old Sandra Moyer was driving her Ford Focus when her vehicle was struck head-on by a Mazda CX-5 driven by 29-year-old Alicia Moodie. Police have not yet said what caused the collision.

Due to the severity of her injuries, Moyer was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Her passenger, identified as 30-year-old Janelle Beaver, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Moodie was also injured and taken to the hospital for an injury. She is expected to recover.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
