Stroudsburg, PA – Tractor-Trailer Collision Leads to Injuries on Rte 33
Stroudsburg, PA (March 1, 2023) – Around 10:55 a.m. on Wednesday morning, March 1, a tractor-trailer crash involving multiple vehicles occurred in Stroudsburg.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened on Route 33 around the area of mile marker 20.6. Police confirmed that the accident, which occurred in the northbound lanes, involved several vehicles. Photographs showed a tractor-trailer with severe damages in the southbound lanes, as well as a black pickup truck with severe damages. A red sedan was seen trapped underneath the trailer of the truck, and the guardrail was sheared off in one section.
Several local responders, including fire crews and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A medical helicopter was seen in the area picking up one or more victims. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
There were extensive delays on both sides of the highway in the area. Police worked for hours to fully clear the scene.
