Spring Twp, PA – Pedestrian Crash Involving IHOP Building on N Meridian Blvd

Spring Township, PA (January 18, 2023) – Around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, January 17, a pedestrian accident involving an IHOP took place in Spring Township.

According to Spring Township officials, the accident happened at the IHOP at 2700 North Meridian Boulevard. Police confirmed that a woman was eating at the restaurant when she left and got into her vehicle. She then tried to pull away and drove right through the IHOP. There were multiple diners sitting inside the IHOP when the accident happened and one of the individuals was struck by her vehicle.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The person who was struck inside the building was out and walking around but sustained injuries. The driver of the vehicle was also injured. They were both taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the accident, the building sustained structural damage. There were delays in the area for some time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
