Smethport, PA – Clint Fenton Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Water St

Smethport, PA (July 31, 2020) – Yesterday morning, July 30, a man was killed in a pedestrian accident in Smethport.

The accident took place at 1:41 a.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police, on East Water Street when a vehicle struck a pedestrian near the Dugout Road area.

The victim has since been identified as 33-year-old Clint Fenton. He was taken to a local hospital but pronounced deceased while there.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene of the accident and cooperated with the police. They claimed that they did not see the victim until it was too late.

EMS crews assisted at the scene of the accident. The roadway was closed down in the area for a period of time.

No further details have been released. Police continue their investigation into the circumstances leading up to the collision.
