Shamokin Dam, PA (April 8, 2021) – Around 3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, April 6, a tractor-trailer accident injured several in Shamokin Dam.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of US-11 and US-15. A tractor-trailer and an SUV collided with each other in the area due to reasons that are not yet known, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Police quickly discovered that an adult and a child were ejected from the SUV and the tractor-trailer stopped in a creek. Three injured victims were flown to local hospitals for treatment of serious injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time.
