Salisbury Twp, PA – One Critically Injured in Truck Accident on Newport Rd
Salisbury Township, PA (September 2, 2022) – One person sustained critical injuries in a truck accident that took place in Salisbury Township on Thursday afternoon, September 1.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened at 5200 Newport Road. A pickup truck was traveling in the area when it became involved in an accident involving a tractor-trailer due to reasons that are not yet known. The tractor-trailer was allegedly making a left turn at the time. The pickup truck overturned as a result and the driver of the vehicle was thrown out of the truck.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. The victim who was thrown from the pickup truck was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. Nobody else was hurt as a result of the accident.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal.
