Rose Township, PA (December 18, 2023) – On Saturday, a collision in Jefferson County ejected a 17-year-old from his vehicle, killing him instantly.
A report from the Pennsylvania State Police states that at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 16th, officers were sent to the scene of an accident on Roller Coaster Road in Rose Township. According to the investigation, the 17-year-old motorist was going west in a Honda Civic when they were involved in a crash with one other driver. The accident ejected the 17-year-old driver and a 20-year-old front passenger.
At the scene, the driver was declared dead, and the front-seat passenger was airlifted to Penn Highlands DuBois with what are believed to be critical injuries. The crash is believed to have caused minor injuries to another 20-year-old victim, but no further details on those involved were released. At the site, the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, Jefferson County EMS, the Summerville Fire Department, and the Pennsylvania State Police all responded.
