Rockdale Township, PA (January 18, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident in the Rockdale Township area left two people injured on Sunday afternoon, according to local news reports. At approximately 3 p.m., on January 17, Erie County 911 received the request for assistance regarding a traffic collision that took place on Mackey Hill Road.

Reports from authorities show that a small blue sedan and a black Jeep were involved in a head-on collision on Mackey Hill Road near the intersection with Lee Road during the mid-afternoon hours.

The impact of the crash left both vehicles with extensive front-end damage. The crash sent the Jeep off the road where it came to rest in a tree-filled stretch of land along the roadway.

Two people involved in the accident were injured. Both victims were rendered aid by emergency personnel with EmergyCare before being transported to an area hospital for further assistance. At this time, the Pennsylvania State Police are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
