Reading, PA (August 28, 2020) – Around 6:35 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, a serious dirt bike accident took place at an intersection in Reading.
According to police, the collision took place at the intersection of North Front Street and Douglass Street when a dirt bike and a passenger vehicle drove through the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding.
The accident was so forceful that the vehicle had damage to its driver’s side and the back windshield was also shattered.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the collision where they assisted the dirt bike rider. The unidentified party was taken to the trauma center at Reading Hospital with serious injuries. Their current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked at the scene of the accident for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
