Ray Snyder and Doris Snyder Dead after 2 Vehicles Collide on Enola Road
North Middleton Township, Pennsylvania (September 3, 2017) – A man and a woman died after two cars collided in Cumberland County on Friday afternoon, according to police.
The deadly accident took place at 2:30 p.m. September 1, at the intersection of Enola and Waggoners Gap Road in North Middleton Township.
According to police, a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt was heading east on Enola Road when it crossed into the path of a 2017 Ford Transit van heading north on Waggoners Gap Road after failing to stop at a stop sign.
The Ford hit the passenger side of the Chevrolet causing the Chevrolet to spin in a clockwise direction and stopped in a field. The driver’s side of the Ford hit a telephone pole.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Ray Snyder was transported to Holy Spirit Hospital where he died of his injuries. The passenger Doris J. Snyder died at the crash site, according to reports.
The Ford driver, Shawn Rose of Middleburg and his passenger Dale Roberts, of Landisburg, and three other juvenile passengers were not injured in the crash.
Pennsylvania State Police helped to clear the crash site. Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office representative was among those who responded to the crash.
An investigation into the incident is still underway.
