Quarryville, PA (September 21, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed in a fatal accident that took place on a roadway in Quarryville on Sunday morning, September 18.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened around 2 a.m. at 1700 Picidilli Hill Road. Police confirmed that 36-year-old Curtis Higby was walking alongside the road when he was suddenly struck by a Dodge pickup truck due to reasons that are not entirely known. It is believed that the driver of the truck remained at the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other Warren County responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Nobody inside the pickup truck sustained injuries in the collision.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
