Pottsville, PA (April 5, 2021) – At 3:20 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, April 3, a car accident occurred at an intersection in Pottsville.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Gordon Nagle Trail and SPCA Road. At the time, a 48-year-old identified as Steven Reed was driving his Subaru Forester when he crossed over the double line, striking another vehicle head-on. The driver of the other vehicle was identified as 25-year-old Anika Sine.
Reed, Sine, and a passenger identified as 47-year-old Tori Reed were all injured as a result of the accident. Reed’s injuries were the most severe and he was transported to the hospital by medical helicopter.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
