Portersville, PA – One Injured in Motorcycle Accident on I-79Law Pa
Portersville, PA (August 7, 2020) – Early this morning around 8:25 a.m., one person was injured in a motorcycle accident in Portersville.
According to authorities, the collision happened in the southbound lanes of I-79 when a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer collided with each other. The male motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, collided with the back of the truck for reasons that are not yet known.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident to assist the injured motorcyclist. He was flown to a local hospital with severe injuries, though the extent of those injuries is not yet known. The truck driver was not injured as a result of the accident.
Pennsylvania State Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
