Pittsburgh, PA – Ten Injured in Bus Accident Near University of Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA (November 9, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a bus accident that took place on a roadway in Pittsburgh on the morning of Wednesday, November 9.

According to Pittsburgh officials, the accident happened around 11 a.m. near the University of Pittsburgh campus. Police confirmed that a PRT bus was traveling in the area when the driver collided with a Jeep due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles sustained front-end damage as a result of the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were immediately called to the scene to help those in need. A total of ten people sustained injuries in the accident, including both drivers and several passengers. The bus driver sustained a knee injury and the driver of the Jeep sustained injuries to their neck and back, as well as a concussion. Their conditions at this time are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
