Pittsburgh, PA (July 20, 2023) – At 1:06 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, July 18, a teen employee sustained injuries in a restaurant in Pittsburgh due to a pedestrian accident.

According to McCandless Police Department officials, the accident happened at the Longhorn Steakhouse on Covenant Avenue. Police confirmed that a 17-year-old female employee was washing windows on the restaurant when she was suddenly struck by the driver of a passenger vehicle. The driver allegedly struck by a parked car before hitting the front of the building, slamming into the teen pedestrian.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The teen and the driver were trapped due to the collision and had to be freed by firefighters. The employee sustained a serious leg injury and was taken to the hospital. She is listed in stable condition, as well as the driver of the vehicle that struck her.
