Pittsburgh, PA (December 17, 2020 – Around 5 p.m. on Sunday evening, a hit-and-run pedestrian accident took place at an intersection in Pittsburgh.

Police confirmed that the accident happened at the intersection of Craft Avenue and Forbes Avenue when a pedestrian was struck. The male pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, stepped off of a Port Authority bus in the area. He walked down the sidewalk and started to cross the street when he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection.

The vehicle was identified as a maroon sedan that was being driven by a middle-aged woman. The impact was so forceful that the pedestrian was sent flying over the hood of the vehicle and onto the pavement below.

The driver did not remain at the scene even though she allegedly made eye contact with the pedestrian. Police have not yet found the responsible river.

The pedestrian was injured but their condition at this time is not yet known.

No further details have been released but the investigation is currently ongoing.
