Pittsburgh, PA – One Killed in Fatal Rollover Accident on Pkwy E

Pittsburgh, PA (October 19, 2022) – On Wednesday morning, October 19, one person was killed in a fatal car accident in Pittsburgh.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened in the early morning hours on Parkway East around the area of the Squirrel Hill tunnel. Police confirmed that they arrived in the area around 6:20 a.m. to find that several vehicles collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. One of the vehicles rolled over as a result, leading to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other Pittsburgh responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person involved in the accident was rushed to Mercy Hospital and was tragically pronounced dead while there. It is not known if anyone else sustained injuries in the accident.

The roadway was blocked until approximately 10:30 a.m. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
