Pittsburgh, PA (June 4, 2021) – On Thursday afternoon, June 3, a bus crash with injuries occurred on a roadway in Pittsburgh.
According to officials, the accident happened on Frankstown Avenue when a sedan and a Port Authority bus collided with each other. Police confirmed that the sedan was part of a funeral procession but have not said what led up to the accident. Photographs taken at the scene showed a black sedan with a shattered window with one of its mirrors on the ground next to it.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. Two people were trapped inside the sedan and had to be extricated by fire crews. Only one of those victims was transported to the hospital, though their condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
