Pittsburgh East Hills Fatal Collision (Friday November 24, 2017) Friday morning had a tragic start with a Pittsburgh East Hills fatal collision leaving a woman dead and potentially two suspects on the run from police.
In a report by TribLive, the accident occurred early Friday just after 5 o’clock in the morning on Frankstown Avenue in the 8300 block area. According to information provided by local police and public safety officials the two vehicles involved in the collision were a Chevy Silverado pickup truck, believed to be painted white and a Kia Sportage which was driven by Rhonda P. Everson, age 59 years old from Penn Hills. The 911 emergency hotline was called to alert police of the accident but no information about the caller has been made public.
The accident was head-on and Ms. Everson was ejected from her vehicle due to the force of the collision. When police arrived on the scene, she was found and pronounce dead as a result of the injuries she sustained in the accident. The Chevy pickup truck had fled the scene and police have been advised that the vehicle may have had two persons in the car but this is not confirmed.
The investigation into the cause of the accident and the whereabouts of the Chevy pickup, its driver and possible passenger are ongoing and being conducted by Pittsburgh Police.
