Philadelphia, PA (April 14, 2023) – A woman was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident that took place at a Philadelphia intersection on Thursday morning, April 13.

According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened around 10:45 a.m. at the intersection of Cobbs Creek Parkway and 70th Street. Police confirmed that a woman was crossing the street and was in the middle of the lane when she was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle. The driver, who was in a white Ford Mustang convertible, fled the scene of the accident without stopping.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has since been identified as a 58-year-old woman, was critically injured in the accident. She was rushed to the hospital for treatment, though their current condition is not yet known.

Police later found the responsible driver on Thursday night. It is not known if any arrests have been made.

No further details have been released, but the investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
