Philadelphia, PA – Woman Injured in Pedestrian Crash at 21st St & Chestnut StPa Accident News
Philadelphia, PA (September 25, 2021) – On Friday, September 24, a pedestrian crash took place at the intersection of 21st Street and Chestnut Street.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened at the intersection of 21st Street and Chestnut Street. A woman was walking across the street at the intersection around noon when she was struck by a passenger vehicle traveling in the area. The vehicle immediately fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately called to the scene. The 85-year-old woman who was struck was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Nobody else was injured in the accident.
The intersection was blocked in the area for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene. Police are looking for the Gray Pontiac that fled the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
