Philadelphia, PA – Two Officers Injured in Car Crash at Chew Ave IntersectionLaw Pa
Philadelphia, PA (August 10, 2020) – Around 9:45 a.m. yesterday morning, August 9, two officers were injured in a Philadelphia car crash.
The accident, according to police, took place at the intersection of Chew Avenue and Johnson Street. The officers were responding to a call in the area when their cruiser collided with a vehicle making a turn onto Johnson Street. The impact was so forceful that the police cruiser flipped over.
Both officers were injured and taken to Einstein Medical Center. The officers have since been listed in stable condition.
A person in the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital with injuries.
The roadway was closed down at the intersection for a period of time following the collision.
