Philadelphia, PA (June 14, 2023) – Around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, June 14, a pedestrian accident took place that injured two victims.

According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened at 7000 North Broad Street. Police confirmed that a man and woman were walking in the Oak Lane neighborhood when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle that was traveling in the area. The vehicle then struck the back of another vehicle.

Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene immediately. Both pedestrians sustained injuries in the accident and were taken to Einstein Medical Center. The woman suffered a broken leg, but police have not confirmed the extent of the man’s injuries.

The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes as police worked to clear the scene. The driver involved in the accident was taken into custody on multiple charges.
