Philadelphia, PA – Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-76

Philadelphia, PA (February 16, 2021) – Around 11:15 p.m. on Monday night, February 16, two people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident in Philadelphia.

According to officials, the accident took place in the eastbound lanes of I-76 around the area of Girard Avenue. A total of four vehicles became involved in an accident for reasons that are not yet known. The accident led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash. Two people had to be rescued from their vehicles by fire crews. They were then hospitalized with various injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.

All eastbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time until police cleared the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
