Philadelphia, PA – Student Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Broad StLawPaWriter
Philadelphia, PA (September 20, 2021) – Around 5 a.m. on Sunday morning, September 19, a pedestrian accident occurred at an intersection in Philadelphia.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened on Broad Street near the intersection with Diamond Street. An 18-year-old male Temple University student was walking across the street when he was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle in the area. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The 18-year-old student was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. Their current condition is not known at this time.
Police did not say if any charges were filed against the driver. The unidentified driver was not injured.
The roadway was blocked in the area near the intersection for some time.
