Philadelphia, PA (February 7, 2021) – Around 8 p.m. on Saturday night, February 6, a pedestrian accident took place at a home in Philadelphia.

According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened at a home at 2800 Comly Road. An off-duty officer identified as Gregory Campbell was driving along in the area when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle crossed over Comly and ran into the side of a home.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. A 53-year-old woman inside the home was trapped under the vehicle. She was extricated and taken to the hospital in critical condition. A 45-year-old man in the home, as well as two dogs, were also struck by the vehicle.

Campbell has since been charged with aggravated assault, DUI, and other offenses.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
