Philadelphia, PA – One Killed, One Injured in Delaware Ave Crash near Spring Garden St

Philadelphia, PA (September 9, 2023) – An automobile accident reported in the Northern Liberties neighborhood claimed one person’s life.

The accident was reported on Thursday, September 7, around 6:15 p.m.

According to reports provided by the Philadelphia Police Department, a driver was traveling in the area of Delaware Avenue and Spring Garden Street when they lost control of their vehicle for unknown reasons. As a result, the vehicle went off the roadway and crashed into a construction site. A 58-year-old man was fatally injured in the accident. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 69-year-old man suffered critical injuries due to the crash. He was transported to an area hospital for emergency medical treatment. At this time, the condition of the third victim is unknown.

The crash is being investigated by the Philadelphia Police Department.
