Philadelphia, PA – Officer Injured in Roosevelt Blvd Crash near Cottman Ave
Philadelphia, PA (October 5, 2023) – The Philadelphia Police Department responded to the scene of an officer-involved collision that occurred in the Rhawnhurst neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon, October 4.
At around 1:35 p.m., authorities were notified that a collision occurred on Roosevelt Boulevard.
According to official reports, a Philadelphia Police Department officer was driving a car east along Cottman Avenue during the afternoon hours. As the vehicle proceeded through the area of Cottman Avenue, it was struck by a green Honda Accord.
The Philadelphia Fire Department responded to the scene and secured the roadway.
The officer was injured in the crash. The victim was transported to Aria Hospital, where they underwent emergency care.
At this time, the crash is being investigated.
