Philadelphia, PA (June 26, 2020) – Around 3 a.m. this morning, an officer was injured in a car crash involving a stolen vehicle in Philadelphia.
According to authorities, the accident took place at the intersection of Broad Street and Montgomery Avenue.
A driver in a stolen car ran a red light at the intersection, which caused them to strike a patrol cruiser. The driver then got out of the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. There were six passengers left behind in the vehicle.
Police were able to quickly catch up with the responsible party and he was arrested on numerous charges.
Everyone involved in the accident, including the officer, were injured and taken to local hospitals for treatment.
