Philadelphia, PA – Nicole Fundenberg and Zenobia Murray Killed on N 35th St

Philadelphia, PA (August 27, 2020) – Around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, August 26, two women were killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Philadelphia.

According to police, the accident took place at 600 North 35th Street when two mothers and a teen were out walking when a vehicle suddenly jumped a curb and struck them. The victims were out getting takeout food at the time of the accident.

The accident was so severe that one of the victims went flying across the street and into a home. The 30-year-old woman was taken to Presbyterian Hospital and pronounced dead. She has since been identified as Nicole Fundenberg.

Police also discovered a 58-year-old woman lying on 35th Street with severe injuries. She was transported to the hospital as well but pronounced dead while there. She has since been identified as Zenobia Murray.

A 14-year-old girl was with the two women at the time and she suffered leg injuries. She was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The 19-year-old driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene of the accident. Police found her vehicle lodged into the side of a home.

The accident remains under investigation.
