Philadelphia, PA – Man Loses Life in Dump Truck Crash on Rising Sun Ave

Philadelphia, PA (September 21, 2023) – A man lost his life as a result of a crash that took place on Wednesday in Philadelphia.

Just after 12:00 p.m. on September 20, the police were called to the scene of an accident on Rising Sun Avenue.

According to reports provided by the Philadelphia Police Department, a 68-year-old male was exiting a septa bus in the 4300 block of Rising Sun Avenue. For unknown reasons, he was struck by a dump truck.

The driver of the dump truck remained at the scene.

The pedestrian was severely hurt in the crash. He was transported by ambulance to Temple University Hospital, where he passed away from his injuries at approximately 1241 p.m.

At this time, the Philadelphia Police Department is investigating.
