Philadelphia, PA – Man Killed in Fatal Bicycle Accident on N 63rd St
Philadelphia, PA (May 28, 2023) – Around 7 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, May 27, a man was killed in a fatal bicycle accident in Philadelphia.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened on North 63rd Street in the western portion of Philadelphia. Police claim that a bicyclist was riding in the area when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not entirely known. The driver of the passenger vehicle stopped and remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The bicyclist, identified as an adult male, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody inside the vehicle was hurt.
Police blocked off a portion of the road in the area of the accident until the scene was cleared. It is not known if the driver will receive any charges at this time.
