Pedestrian Accidents in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania ranks 15th in the entire U.S. when it comes to individuals injured or killed in pedestrian accidents. These accidents have, unfortunately, been happening more commonly than ever before within the state. In 2019, it was reported that 154 pedestrians were killed in fatal Pennsylvania accidents, and many others were seriously injured. If you have been hurt in a life-altering pedestrian accident, it is important that you speak with an attorney that you can trust.
The aftermath of a pedestrian accident can be a difficult thing to face entirely on your own. This is due to the fact that pedestrian accidents tend to lead to some of the most severe injuries, as pedestrians have no real protection from harm. The injuries that sometimes stem from these accidents include the following:
- Spinal cord injuries
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Organ damage
- Fractures
- Paralysis
These injuries could land you in the hospital or cause you to miss an extended period of time at work. If you have been hurt in a pedestrian accident, you should speak with a dedicated Philadelphia personal injury attorney as soon as you can.
