Car Accidents in Pennsylvania

Philadelphia, PA – Injuries Follow Car Crash near S 26th St and I-76Car crashes in Pennsylvania often involve some element of negligence. Even though we want to believe that everyone will operate their vehicles safely to ensure those around them remain out of harm’s way, this is simply not a reality.

We see far too many innocent people suffer debilitating injuries due to the negligent and careless actions of others. Leading factors in automobile collisions across Pennsylvania each year include:

  • Speeding: Driving too fast significantly increases the risk of a person losing control of their vehicle. Unfortunately, this is far too common here in Pennsylvania, especially here in the Philadelphia area. We often see drivers speeding around the interstate in order to make it to their destinations quicker. Unfortunately, accidents involving speeding vehicles do not typically end well.
  • Intoxication: Drivers who are under the influence of alcohol or even drugs lack the ability to maintain control over their vehicles. Impairment can make it nearly impossible to make responsible decisions and to be able to stop in time to avoid crashing into others.
  • Failure to yield: We see a lot of people injured in motor vehicle accidents when drivers fail to yield. When drivers do not yield the right-of-way to other people while switching lanes, turning at intersections, or even simply traveling on the road, they can cause serious accidents that lead to devastating injuries.

Following an automobile accident that was caused by the negligence of another party, victims are able to take legal action. It is crucial for accident victims to reach out to a Philadelphia car accident lawyer as soon as possible.
