Philadelphia, PA (August 5, 2023) – At 3 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, August 5, a head-on collision with injuries occurred in Philadelphia.
According to Philadelphia Police, the two-vehicle collision happened in the city’s West Oak Lane area on Roosevelt Boulevard near the area of 5th Street. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when one went over into the other lane and collided head-on with the second vehicle. The involved vehicles both sustained severe damage due to the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of one of the vehicles was treated on the scene due to minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was rushed to the hospital with multiple severe injuries. Their current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for some time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
