Philadelphia, PA – Four Injured in Bus Accident at Frankford Ave & W Girard Ave
Philadelphia, PA (July 25, 2023) – On Sunday night, July 23, a bus crash with injuries took place at an intersection in Philadelphia.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened at 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Frankford Avenue and West Girard Avenue. Police confirmed that a SEPTA bus was traveling in the area when it became involved in a crash due to reasons that are not fully known. The bus driver lost control and crashed due to reasons that are still being investigated. The bus was badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. A total of four people sustained injuries as a result of the accident. Three of those victims were taken to Jefferson Hospital, and one person was transported to Temple University Hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
