Philadelphia, PA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on W Hunting Park AveLaw Pa
Philadelphia, PA (October 8, 2020) – Late Wednesday night, October 7, a fatal pedestrian accident took place on a roadway in Philadelphia.
Police confirmed that a 52-year-old man parked his vehicle on West Hunting Park Avenue around the area of 5th Street and started to cross the roadway. The New York resident was then struck by a dark Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Police have since determined that the driver of the Jeep circled the block and came back to the scene of the accident before speeding away once more. Police found several pieces of debris left behind by the vehicle.
The victim suffered from severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene around 10:30 p.m.
Philadelphia Police are still searching for information related to the hit-and-run crash.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
