Philadelphia, PA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident Involving Train at Snyder Station

Philadelphia, PA (April 23, 2023) – At about 5:00 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, April 23, a fatal pedestrian accident involving a train took place in Philadelphia.

According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened on the subway tracks at the Snyder Station on the Broad Street Line. A SEPTA train was traveling in the area when it suddenly struck a pedestrian who may have been crossing the tracks at the time. The train immediately came to a stop after the accident.

Several local responders, including Philadelphia paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene.
