Philadelphia, PA – Fatal Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Robbins St
Philadelphia, PA (October 1, 2022) – A woman was killed in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident at an intersection in Philadelphia on Saturday morning, October 1.
Philadelphia Police received the call around 3 a.m. and arrived at the intersection of Robbins Street and Torresdale Avenue. A 21-year-old woman was walking in the area of the intersection when she was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping.
Several local responders, including Philadelphia paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. The female pedestrian was severely injured and was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by EMS crews. It is not believed that anybody else was injured in the accident.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
