Philadelphia, PA – Fatal Crash at Haverford Ave and Rhoads St

Philadelphia, PA (September 1, 2020) – Around 2 p.m. this afternoon, September 1, a fatal crash took place at an intersection in Philadelphia.

According to police, the collision occurred at the intersection of Haverford Avenue and Rhoads Street. The driver of a 2013 Ford struck the driver of a 2001 Honda. The vehicles collided so forcefully that they were sent into several parked cars.

Police confirmed that a 35-year-old man was killed due to the collision. Six others were injured including a 28-year-old woman, a 42-year-old man, a 62-year-old man, a 61-year-old woman, a 5-year-old boy, and one victim who has not yet been identified. It is believed that all of the victims are going to recover.

The woman who had been driving the Ford allegedly got out of her vehicle and fled the scene of the accident. Witnesses said that she had a baby with her.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
