Philadelphia, PA – CHOP Bus Crash on South St near Convention Ave
Philadelphia, PA (October 6, 2023) – Several people were injured as a result of a fiery bus crash that took place in the University City section of Philadelphia.
The accident occurred at around 11:30 a.m. on October 5.
Reports provided by the Philadelphia Police Department show that a bus from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia collided with a second vehicle on South Street in the area near Convention Avenue during the morning hours.
The incident blocked the West Philadelphia roadways as the second vehicle, a red SUV, caught on fire. Both vehicles sustained significant damage due to the collision. Firefighters rushed to the scene and began battling the blaze.
Multiple people suffered injuries as a result of the accident. A total of five people were rendered aid at the scene. Emergency medical services transported those who required further medical attention to nearby hospitals.
