Philadelphia, PA – Car Crash with Injuries Reported on N 53rd St near W Girard Ave

Philadelphia, PA (August 8, 2023) – A crash in the Carroll Park section of Philadelphia sent an unknown number of people to area hospitals with injuries.

The crash was reported to the Philadelphia Police Department at around 8:20 p.m. on August 7.

According to PPD reports, a collision between vehicles occurred on North 53^rd Street. The police and firefighters out of Philadelphia responded to the scene and shut down the roadway near the intersection of West Girard Avenue.

Emergency officials worked quickly to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene.

At least one person was transported to a local hospital, where they were provided care for the injuries they suffered.

The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating.
