Philadelphia, PA (August 14, 2021) – Around 2 a.m. on Friday morning, August 13, a bus accident took place at an intersection in Philadelphia.

According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of Ogontz Avenue and West Nedro Avenue. A minivan was traveling in the area when it allegedly entered the intersection, slamming into a SEPTA bus. It is believed that one of the vehicles ran through a red light at the time of the collision, which led to heavy damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Two women were injured in the accident. The parties were identified as a 21-year-old and a 27-year-old. They are expected to fully recover from their injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time until police fully cleared the scene.
