Philadelphia, PA (July 23, 2021) – Around 6 a.m. on the morning of Friday, July 23, a bus accident occurred at an intersection in Philadelphia.

According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of 5th Street and Allegheny Avenue. A SEPTA bus was traveling in the area when the bus collided with a truck and crashed into a utility pole. It came to rest in a parking lot. The truck was seen in the area with extensive front-end damage.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The passengers on the bus, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.

The area was blocked for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
