Philadelphia, PA (October 25, 2021) – Around 4:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon, October 25, a fatal pedestrian crash occurred in Philadelphia’s Strawberry Mansion neighborhood.

Police are reportedly searching for the hit-and-driver who hit and killed a 7-year-old boy at 33rd Street and Huntingdon Street.

Witnesses say that a mother was crossing the street with her son at the intersection when the driver of a white Buick Enclave hit the child. The boy was transported by medics to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police say the suspect vehicle, which was identified as stolen from the 26th District, was later discovered unoccupied on Balwynne Park Road with three bullet holes in the driver’s side window.

Officers are still trying to track down the driver, though anyone with information is asked to call the police.

The boy who was killed in the crash has not been identified.
