Palmerton, PA – Man Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Mauch Chunk Rd

Palmerton, PA (June 25, 2023) – A man was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash on a roadway in Palmerton on the night of Saturday, June 24.

According to Palmerton officials, the accident happened around 10:15 p.m. at 400 Mauch Chunk Road. Police confirmed that a motorcyclist was traveling west on the roadway when they suddenly collided with a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not entirely known. The motorcycle then went off the side of the road and collided with a tree, leading to extensive damage.

Several local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help. The motorcyclist, identified as a man in his 30s from Kunkletown, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. It is not known if anyone else was hurt in the collision.

A large portion of the roadway was blocked following the collision. Police blocked off the roadway until the scene was cleared.
